Beer Brewing Competition

Left Coast Brewing Co. has been around for 10 years, brewing up delicious craft beer in the beautiful beach town of San Clemente, located in south Orange County. In 2011 the brewery began the San Clemente Micro-Brew Fest as a way to give back to the beachside community they love. The annual festival attracts around 1,000 savvy craft beer drinkers who come to the festival to taste beers from 17 local breweries. The festival sells out and also features live music from 3 local bands, as well as food trucks. All the proceeds from the event benefit the Welcome Home Military Family Events put on by the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce.

This April, Left Coast will add a Homebrew Competition to their annual festival. The competition will accept entries in 5 categories including: IPA, Imperial IPA, Pale Ale, Session Ale and Pilsner. The cost of entry for each beer is $5 and gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each category. Lastly, a Best of Show will be awarded and the winner will get their beer brewed for the 2016 festival. Judging will be done by Left Coast Master Brewer Randal Dilibero and Lead Brewer Jim Clarke, along with brewers from Pizza Port San Clemente and Artifex Brewing Company.
