Left Coast Brewing Company recently was awarded two gold medals and a bronze medal at the 2015 San Diego County Fair’s 9th Annual International Beer Festival. The San Diego County Fair hosts one of the largest beer festivals in the country, with more than 960 entries from 11 countries and 23 states in the U.S. Judged by their hops-and-barley-loving peers, the competition awards the best of the best.
Judging was held April 23-26, 2015 and gold, silver and bronze awards were bestowed upon 132 brews from around the world at the San Diego International Beer Competition held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California. Best of Show will be announced at the San Diego County Fair’s 9th Annual San Diego International Beer Festival on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.
Left Coast Brewery was awarded a gold medal in the American-Style Pale Ale beer style category for its Trestles IPA, a light-bodied, hoppy IPA featuring CTZ and Chinook hops followed up with a dry hop of Simcoe and Centennial in the fermenter which brings out a citrus aroma. Left Coast also took home another gold medal in the European Lager category for its Del Mar St Lager, a great session beer with a malt dominant flavor and moderate bitterness from noble hops. Left Coast’s third winner was its Get In My Belly, which took home a bronze medal in the category of British-Style Strong Ale. Left Coast Brewery is located in San Clemente and specializes in brewing top quality IPA’S, Stouts, and Lagers.
